We have done this every year since I first moved to Connecticut. The weather was absolutely beautiful. I was really determined to get a lot of apples. I want to make an apple pie and an apple cake. I had a great little helper.

She insisted on carrying her bag even if she had to drag it. After we filled our bags with apples, we went to their delicious store to get even more goodies. The whole store smells like cinnamon and baked goods. We bought apple cider doughnut holes, apple cider, apple cider vinagrette salad dressing, almond butter crunch cookies, and some corn to feed the ducks (more on that later). After browsing in the store we went to another "must have" stop to get some kettle corn at a little tent outside. This is seriously the best kettle corn I've ever had. Our next stop was the side of the pond where the ducks were congregating. We threw them some food and they started really quacking. Abby thought it was fantastic and she was so excited to be feeding them. She even accidently threw her bag of duck food over the fence but Uncle Norman came to the rescue and got it back to her. We really had one of the best times we've ever had. Everything old is new again when you have a child. Just seeing her excitement at the orchard and with the ducks made it exciting for us.
